SiGMA Foundation Donates 3,500 Wheelchairs to PAGCOR for Nationwide Distribution

Ceremonial Turnover in Pasay City

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has received a donation of 3,500 wheelchairs from the SiGMA Foundation. According to the state gaming regulator, the wheelchairs are now prepared for distribution to qualified beneficiaries across the Philippines. The official turnover ceremony took place on Wednesday, September 16, at the PAGCOR Corporate Office located in Pasay City.

The event was attended by PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco and SiGMA Asia Managing Director Neil Shih. During the ceremony, Tengco expressed his gratitude to the foundation, noting that the donation will help expand PAGCOR’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and allow the agency to reach more beneficiaries in various cities, municipalities, and provinces nationwide.

Collaborative Efforts and Distribution Plans

PAGCOR plans to distribute the 3,500 wheelchairs to needy Filipinos through its established CSR programs. The state gaming firm will partner with local government units (LGUs) and other stakeholders to identify and reach qualified recipients. Tengco expressed hope that this donation would pave the way for future collaborative projects between the state regulator and the SiGMA Foundation.

Representing the donor, Neil Shih highlighted that the initiative reflects a shared commitment to supporting individuals and communities in need. Shih remarked that the ceremony demonstrates the positive outcomes possible when the private sector and government collaborate with a shared purpose to make a difference in the lives of thousands of Filipino families.
