PH Gaming Wire aims to publish accurate, clearly attributed, and useful reporting about the Philippine gaming industry.
Source standards
We prioritise primary and accountable sources, including official regulator announcements, government documents, company filings and statements, court or legislative records, and established news organisations. Articles should link to the original source whenever reasonably possible.
We distinguish confirmed facts from analysis, forecasts, allegations, and opinion. Serious claims involving illegal conduct, licence status, fraud, financial loss, or personal wrongdoing require stronger verification and careful attribution.
Automated assistance
Automated tools may help monitor approved sources, organise information, draft summaries, suggest headlines, or check formatting. Automation does not make a source true. Content must not invent quotations, statistics, dates, licence status, accusations, or events.
We do not use automation to disguise copied articles, publish large volumes of substantially identical pages, or misrepresent machine-generated material as original eyewitness reporting.
Attribution and copyright
We summarise and add context instead of reproducing full third-party reports. Quotations are kept proportionate and attributed. Images must be original, licensed, supplied for publication, or otherwise used with a valid legal basis.
News and commercial content
News, analysis, opinion, sponsored material, and affiliate content must be distinguishable. Advertisers and commercial partners do not receive advance approval over independent reporting about them.
Responsible coverage
We do not present gambling as guaranteed income, minimise the risk of loss, target minors, or encourage readers to chase losses. Coverage should include appropriate legal and responsible-gaming context.
Conflicts of interest
Writers and editors should disclose material relationships that could reasonably affect their coverage. Where a conflict cannot be managed transparently, the assignment should be reassigned or the conflict disclosed to readers.
Updates
Articles may be updated as new facts emerge. Material corrections are handled under our Corrections Policy. Minor spelling, formatting, and clarity edits may be made without a correction note when they do not change the meaning.
